modedemit

modedemit was a Toronto vintage e-tailer I founded, curated, and ran from the ground up — built around a specific point of view on dressing. The brand drew from archival photography, Afrocentric references, and editorial styling: a sensibility that treated vintage not as nostalgia but as a deliberate aesthetic position. I held every dimension of it — sourcing and curation, visual identity, creative direction, and the editorial shoots that gave each piece its weight. In its first year, the store was among the top-performing stores on Etsy. Loved by local and international bloggers, it went on to earn a feature in Fashion Magazine, The Print Collective, and a personal recommendation from Leandra Cohen in Man Repeller. *brand mood board and packaging illustration in collaboration with Kenyan illustrator Phoebe Ouma.
